A lot of the times, when you have multiple siblings in a family business, you express different opinions and it’s harder to collectively think together and be on the same page, and as long as you can focus on that mission and be on the same page, you’ll be successful.
The difficulty that you’re going to face though is disagreements when it comes to how to progress with the business.
Put your pride aside when working with them.
Differentiate that line between business and family.
Getting a tighter knit of family member’s together means that the business will have more passion, will be able to flourish even more.
Never forced into one area, it was sort of where could you be useful and where would you add value, but also where would you be able to acquire new skills and learn something.
Your family loves you, they’re going to be the most supportive of your ideas and definitely the best critics.
You have to be passionate about what you’re working on.
I’d rather be a family business owner so I can share my successes and my failures with those that I love.
